In 2010, my journey on the bass began. Quite suddenly and rather by surprise, I discovered the bass for myself through a Whitesnake concert on DVD. At that time Marco Mendoza was still playing bass with Whitesnake. As a little boy I wanted to become as cool as he was and to reach the big stages. This thought didn't change in the following years. It was the idols and inspirations that changed. Over the years, Robert Trujillo from Metallica or Steve Harris from Iron Maiden were my biggest inspiration and influences. Now it's Jared Sith (Archspire), Jacob Umansky (Intervals), Conner Green (Haken) and especially John Myung (Dream Theater).
In all this time I went through several bands in different genres. No matter if Pop Band, BigBand or Metal Band - you could find me everywhere on the bass. The last band I played for was I'm In the melodic death metal band In Sanity from Paderborn. Currently I'm looking for a new challenge and working on some other projects.
Besides the bass, I had to go through my school career, of course. How it was? Well, I didn't like it. To be honest, I really didn't care about most of the subjects in school. During this time I discovered audio engineering for myself. So after my school time I completed my bachelor's degree in sound engineering and then started an apprenticeship as a specialist for event technology. But the bass was always by my side and accompanied me faithfully every step of the way.
In the meantime, I have been able to gather a lot of experience and impressions and have been able to see things from almost every perspective.
What I have learned from this so far and always like to pass on:
Giving up is not an option! Everything is doable! Stay loyal to yourself!
